The Valtenesi is the band of countryside that separates the lower Brescia shore from the inland hills, a sequence of gentle rises planted with vines and olive trees that look out over the water. Staying here means having two landscapes available within the same day.
Casale el Galèt stands in Via Seselle, in a secluded part of the gulf of Manerba, roughly 80 metres from San Sivino beach. The flats are one and two bedroom units with large glazed walls and usable verandas, all oriented towards the lake.
Around them lies a private park with a tidy lawn, shaded corners and a shared pool that becomes the gathering point during the warmest hours of the day.
Wine, olive oil and the flavours of the riviera
The Valtenesi is the home of Groppello, the native grape behind the local reds, and of Chiaretto, the rosé that made this shore known well beyond the region. Many wineries welcome visitors for tastings and guided tours, often just minutes by car from the property.
Alongside the vine grows the olive, with extra virgin oil produced in the mills of the Brescia side of the lake. The weekly village markets offer cheeses, cured meats and garden produce, while local restaurants put lake and hillside on the same menu.
Having a full kitchen in your flat changes how you experience all of this: you shop in the morning and eat on the veranda the same evening.

Bed and bath linen is included, a parking space is reserved, and the park holds a barbecue area and bicycles for reaching the lakefront and the nearby villages. Four legged friends are welcome.
The minimum stay is one week, with the option of two nights in the low season. Check in is from 15:00 and check out by 10:00, with timings that can be agreed when you book.

What to see in the Valtenesi
The Rocca di Manerba towers over the gulf with views straight down to the water and forms the heart of a nature reserve crossed by panoramic paths. Below it, a sandy spit leads across to the island of San Biagio when the lake level drops.
Inland you will find Moniga with its castle, Soiano, Polpenazze and Puegnago with the small lakes of Sovenigo, all linked by panoramic roads that suit cycling.
On the shore, Padenghe and Salò with its long promenade are minutes away, while Sirmione and the Vittoriale remain comfortable day trips.
